r-e-s-o-m-e seek to foster access to higher education, professionnal guidance and french courses for every exiled student. We are a collective of students, teachers, individuals, associations and informal groups, acting side by side with refugees and migrants. We are a non-partisan, nonprofit organization. We are neither a public institution nor a university.
Our goals are to :
Foster the creation of integration and monitoring programs in the french higher education system, and in the french-teaching associations and collectives for everyone.
Share advice and information on studies resumption for migrants, undocumented people, refugees and asylum seekers.
Produce, collectively and/or in separate work groups, ressources for guidance, legal / medical / daily assistance of migrants in regards to their diverse legal statuses, and share them.
Work in alliance with the associations and collectives working on the spot for migrants and refugees' rights (in the camps and the retention centers). Address the social workers on this specific issue. Focus on the needs and demands of the concerned persons themselves.
Raise awareness about this issue.
Hence, we wish to provide our support in a very little covered field: exiled people, migrants and refugees' education and academic guidance. Ultimately, the r-e-s-o-m-e wishes to be able to produce collectively and mutualize information and guidance support documents for the whole network. We will be available through regular physical permanence, for the migrants (explaining the different possibilities for each legal status) and for the associations, collectives and volunteers supporting them.
